Sympathetically restored from a former cowshed at Cold Harbour Farm on the edge of the beautiful, historic village of Bishop Burton, near Beverley, Calf House Studios offers purpose built studio space for East Yorkshire’s artists, sculptors, photgraphers and craftspeople.

Local builders have used a combination of traditional and locally sourced modern materials to create a modern, environmentally friendly workspace ideally suited to the creative arts.

Home to a variety of talented artists including a sculptor and painter, a paper craft specialist and a silver clay tutor and jewellery maker, Calf House Studios comprises five warm and well lit studios for resident artists, a studio for visiting artists and students plus seminar and exhibition areas for art and craft workshops and open days.

Within easy reach of Hull and York, Calf House Studios also offers visitors a unique environment in which to buy affordable art related gifts direct from the artists - why visit a town when you can buy art from the farm?

Calf House Studios supports its resident artists with a group marketing resource to help them to promote their talent and sell their art nationwide and also welcomes applications from artists throughout the UK to join the Calf House Studios virtual artists’ community.
